Windows Disk Check - CHKDISK

Hi,

I have a PC at home that has 2 removable hard drives - one for games and one
that is my personal one.

When I insert my hard drive and turn on the PC and Windows XP begins to boot
up, the normal XP loading screen changes to a blue screen with white text
that says Windows XP Disk Checker, underneath that it says CHKDISK.

It also says something like its checking my disk for consistency. It
displays the volume name and the type of file system that it uses (NTFS), and
then proceeds to check the entire disk for I don't know what!

Every time I boot up my hard drive Windows Disk Checker runs - why?

By the way, every time I insert the games hard drive the checker runs as well.

HELP, SOMEBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks - you MS newsgroup dudes ROCK THE PLANET! DOWN WITH APPLE! UP WITH
MICROSOFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please describe the "2 removable hard drives" - model, mftr., how they
are removable, etc.
