Seems I have a encoding problem when a window dialog box like in paint
appears when closing I get little boxes instead of text message of "would you
like to save changes". Only the file name is readable.

Any ideas tried System File Check that didn't help and norton win doctor
shows all ok.

Have you changed the default fonts? If so, set everything back to the
default Tahoma.
