Windows Desktop Search 3.0, prozeesor load

I'm running xp professional, sp2. Recently I installed Windows Desktop Search
3.0. After this very often my processor load went up to 100%, heating up the
processor until the system crashed (could monitor it with the AsusProbe).
I uninstalled Windows Desktop Search 3.0, no more problems! Whats wrong with
Desktop Search 3.0?

you did the best thing possible to remove it in time!

I tried to remove it and it could not be removed.. after several hours
reading sites and help files.. I decided that the only way to remove
the dreaded thing was to format :-(
Restore points were also gone

I will never install that thing again!

Well, there's really nothing wrong with it, what is wrong is that your PC
is overheating when running under load (WDS simply did its thing, loading
your cpu to 100% for a while).

You need to look over your PC's cooling, it is not working as it should.
Check inside, clear out dust bunnies, validate that all fans are running
as they should be, and that there are no restrictions to airflow (fat
ribbon cables often block air flow). I'd suspect either your CPU fan is
not working right, or there is insuffcient thermal paste between the
heatsink and the processor. Maybe you need an additional case fan.

YOU NEED TO FIX THIS ASAP!

Good Luck....
