jewel:
Is Windows Defender Beta 2 for XP any good as compared to the other
spyware programs?
*****************************************************************

Charlie,

As the name implies,WD is still in beta. For protection from spyware you
should try SuperAntiSpyware-works very well. There are also other tools
you should not be without(see my sig below).

Sure, but no one anti-spyware program does everything. Only one should be
resident but you should run scans with others like Ad-Aware and Spybot S & D
regularly, depending on your surfing habits and how often you download
"free" programs. Especially after letting something like Messenger Plus
install its sponser programs.

Yes. It doesn't work perfectly, but no single product anti-spyware catches
everything. That's why it's a good idea to run several.
