I have downloaded windows defender again. I had the spyware on my laptop and
then one day it was just gone. I tried to install several times and I get a
messge that says that the feature you are trying to use is on a network
resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate
path to a folder containing the installation package 'WindowsDefender[1].msi'
in the box below. Which is the temporary file and the installation package is
not there.
Another error message is, The file 'C:\Program Files\Windows
Defender\WindowsDefender.msi' is not a valid installaion package for the
product Windows Defender. Try to find the installation package
'WindowsDefender[1].msi' in a folder from which you can install Windows
Defender.
I have made a folder and downloaded. I have downloaded to my desktop.
Temporary everything. I get the same message. Help me!!!!!!!

Can you gº to Windows Update, select Express (Get high-priority updates),
and apply all offered updªtes
http://update.microsoft.com

Once that is finished, can you verify the update installs? There are many
pre-requisite files which are needed from windows update and signature update
with windows defender will fail until you hªve these f!les.
