Automatic updates keeps popping up after you install the new update for
windows defender (kb892519), you install it and it says installed
successfully and in a few minutes automatic updates pops up again with the
same update. I think I like the old anti-spyware better, first you couldn't
install the update now it is installing over and over, I understand it is a
beta program but come on.

I had this problem but managed to sort it by clicking on the Windows Update
tray icon, then on Custom Instal, then unchecking the file to be installed
( KB892519), and finally by checking the 'Do not remind me again' bit!!!
Never heard from them again with this particular update!!!

The link you posted solved my problem also. Defender kept asking for an
update even when I did update it. I also updated through Microsoft Update.
But the update never took.
All is fine now.
