windows defender with avg

Please does anyone know if you can use windows defender with the free avg 8
or does it conflict.
If it does can unistall windows defender if i have got both avg 8 and
defender already running on my pc.

I know of no conflict. If AVG has an anti-spyware component that you can
separately enable and disable, you might choose to disable that.

If you are running Windows Vista, you can disable Windows Defender, but not
uninstall it. If you see an uninstall choice (as is apparently possible in
some upgrade situations)--DO NOT uninstall it.

You can uninstall Windows Defender from Windows XP.
