Windows Defender + Vista Compatability

I've just purchased a laptop with Windows Vista (32 bit). I cannot find any
description about compatibility with Windows Defender. Can I download the
latest version of Windows Defender and use it on this machine?

Go to Start - All Programs - look for Windows Defenderm should be there.

It is actually a part of the OS, and not just loaded on the system. The
version numbering is slightly different from XP, but don't let that confuse
you--the vista version is more capable than the XP version, because of
features the OS allows for.
