Windows Defender update fails - error 0x80040154

When I try to update the sypware signatures I get the error 'Windows Defender
was unable to complete the update: 0x80040154. Class not registered'.

I tried this http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=915105 and doesn't fix it.

I am running W2k (5.00.2195) with SP4, and Windows Defender 1.0.0.0 (built
on 25/01/2006 at 21.29).

Any ideas how to fix it?

Sorry, it didn't worked. I tried regsvr32 gdiplus.dll, as no dll was
indicated in the answer and I get the error 'gdiplus.dll was loaded, but the
DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. DllRegisterServer may not be
exported, or a corrupt version of gdiplus.dll may be in memory. Consider
using PView to detect and remove it'.

Are you able to update by going to Windows Update?
