Windows Defender on RTM

Anyone know how to permanently allow a startup item in Windows
Defender? I experienced this in the beta phase at work, but the
startup programs it identified at work could easily be removed. Now I
just loaded Vista at home and my Quickspell 3.7 beta program keeps
getting flagged by Windows Defender and it won't allow it to run unless
I manually OK it's startup each and every time. If I login as
"Administrator", Quickspell works fine and Defender does not flag it.
I have enabled "Run as administrator" for "All users" on Quickspell and
yet Windows Defender prevents it from auto starting.

Very annoying! I'm ready to rip Windows Defender right off my system!

P.S. UAC is turned on.

Thanks,
Adam

Click on Start, All Programs, and then click on Windows Defender.
In the Windows Defender window, click on "Tools", and then click on Software
Explorer.
Click on the "Show for all users" button, and when prompted for consent,
click on Continue.
Highlight the disabled application in the list of start-up programs and
click the "Enable" button.
When prompted if you would like to enable the application, click on Yes.

Hope this helps. Have a great day!

No dice, it's already enabled. I just Googled "Run blocked program"
and found this:

Very disappointing. Looks like I'm going to have to try to hack
Defender out of Vista.

Adam:
The article is about UAC not Defender. What may be part of the
problem is the way that the coding is setup in Quickspell 3.7 beta. Have you
checked with Quickspell support about this issue. The reason that they have
a beta program is to find these kinds of issues.
