Hello John:

This could be normal.

What antimalware do you have installed on these systems?

I had malwarebytes on them I deleted it off the xp system to see if it was
causing it but it still will not start at startup.

Hello John:

Are you saying that MBAM & WD are the *absolute* only antimalware
applications you have on the XP system? No antivirus? Nothing? Just
MBAM & WD?

Please take a very careful inventory of *all* antimalware applications
and get back to us.

Thank you.

I use AVG antivirus and malwarebytes. I was also using defender I thought
till I found it was shut down. That's it as that most seem to cause
conflicts. I had malwarebytes installed so I could update the system to
fight a rash of fake antivirus bugs going around in my office and on friends
home computers

Hello John:

AVG turns off WD during startup. This is normal operation.
