Please help -

I have a new PC and a clean install of XP. I jsut upgraded from the
Antispyware tool to Windows Defender but both products do not detect anything
on this system. Im positive I have soemthing on this PC (already) and cant
get it off. Other tools DO detect things adn I periodicalyl run scans to
clean my system. Im curious why this tool isnt working. Also I keep getting
redirected to "seeq" sites.

Please advise

Engel is correct. You must provide specifics. You refer to using other
tools. What are they? You say they detect stuff. What do they detect? You
get redirection to seeq sites - sounds like you have a toolbar installed or
your hosts file is compromised. So what toolbars do you have installed under
IE. Suggest you download and install Ewido, Spybot, Lavasoft Ad-aware and
a-squared. All of these products have free versions. Do complete scans with
each. Ignore all the warnings about cookies. WD does not report on cookies
and cookies are not important. It's the spyware and adware programs that
count. Additionally, there may be traces in the registry of malware, but no
actual malware installed. That is why it is important to identify what the
above products found.
