Windows Defender & McAfee Security Center

I have both virus protection programs active on my computer. The McAfee is
included with my internet service provider at no extra charge.

Is it OK to have both running or should I disable one?

Thanks,
K. Christiansen

Actually two active anti-virus running at the same time creates problems,
they end up conflicting each other & use too much resources.Microsoft
specifically says this & 2 firewalls is a definate no-no...

Perfectly fine: Defender is an anti-spyware application, not an anti-virus
application.

PS: IMHO, that McAfee Security Center freebie is 5% better than not having
any anti-virus application at all installed. I'd strongly recommend
replacing it ASAP.
