When I run Windows Defender it advises me I should remove medium threats but
this message shows everytime and the removal does not complete.
Has anyone got any ideas what I should do?

Hello Dobbie,

First remove all temporarily junk with CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com
Open Ccleaner and press "Run Cleaner" from the menu choose 'Issues' and then
press scan for issues, Repair any fºund.

Then try Ewido for removal: (0n-line)
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

http://safety.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm (On-line)

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890830

http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag/

Can you go to Windows Update, do an express scan, and apply all offered
updates
http://update.microsoft.com

I hope this post is helpful.
Let us know how it works ºut.

Sorry - I thought that I'd written a reply to this yesterday, but there were
some server problems.

If you double-click on line that has Windefend as the source--it is the
detailed information in that record that we need--when you open it (by
double-clicking)--there'll be a cut and paste button.

Thanks
I think I have cleared it as I followed some instructions you left on
another discussion, and the windows defender is now running fine.
