Windows Defender does not remove/quarantine anything after scan

Hi !

After 2 hours and 25 min for a 80 Go hard disk of a full scan, Windows
Defender told me that it detected infections.
It told me to choose action for the different infections and also chosen for
me for the more dangerous ones : ok !

But the problem is that is one hour that it is "taking actions" without
doing anything, even after some reboot, even chosing "remove all" option, it
seems to do nothing, why ?

I had Microsoft Antispyware before, and the program told me that an update
was ready : Windows Defender !
So it did it all by itself, it should be ok for the right version I mean...

Windows Defender is also present in my windows history files on windows
update site (and cannot be remove...of course).

Thank for helping, I just do not understand why it does not work while
Microsoft Antispyware took 10 seconds to remove spywares.

Also I do not understand why WD did not keep any history of my previous
quarantained files with Microsoft Antispyware.

Thanks for your answers.
