Hello All,

I am running Windows XP pro w/sp2 and when I recently switched on my PC and
tried to logon I got the following message

windows could not log you on because of an account restriction

I have not made any changes etc..., my account is an administrator account,
and I cannot figure out what happened or how to correct this. please advise.

Hi rock thanks for responding but I cannot get to the point of doing this
because I cannot log on at all ---so far as I know there is no other account
for me to log onto. Hence I cannot event complete step one ( log on to an
account that is a member of the Administrators group) of the instructions you
posted. Do you have another suggestions as how to by pass and then resolve?

Thanks

Slave the drive in another XP computer and edit the registry from that
system. See this link on Doug Knox' site:
