windows colours

I am trying to change the colours used by XP. Currently application
background is white and application text black. I find that white text on a
black background is easier to read and I get less eye strain. So going into
Control Panel -> Display -> Appearance -> Advanced I have tried changing the
window colours to these and everything initially looked ok. However when I
use Outlook express to create a new email I get a black background and black
text! Any ideas?

thanks,

OE defaults to a text color of black in html mode. You can change it
manually or permanently in tools/options Fonts.
