Windows Classic Style Only option

My Windows XP gives me only one option -- Windows Classic Style. I only get the Windows Classic Style when I go to "Display Properties" then "Appearance" then go to the drop down Windows and buttons. Does anyone know how to bring back the Windows XP style? I have tried a variety of things none of which work

Right click on the Start Button > Click: Properties. See what you got
there.

Try going to the Themes tab, in the same Display Properties window. Do
you see the Windows XP there? If so, select it and you'll find
different options in the Appearance Tab.

There is also a setting in gpedit.msc, if XP Pro.

Hi Hugh,

Go to Start > Run > services.msc
scroll down to 'themes' and check that the service is set to
automatic.
You might also check the 'dependencies' tab and make sure that the
services 'themes' depends on are enabled also.
