Windows classic keys

I Have Just Reinstalled Auto Cad on my new computer and I
cannot get my accelerator keys to work. I believe it has
somthing to do with a setting called windows clssic
keyboard, but I can't fid any information on this. Any
help would be appreciated.
 
Mmm..do you have in right-click desktop | Properties | Effects | Hide keyboard navigation indicators until I use the Alt key unchecked?
