Windows Calendar Reminder Problem

Yeff

I have Windows Calendar set to give me reminders of appointments.
Unfortunately the only time this works is when the program is first
started.

I have gone into Options and checked "Reminders should show when Windows
Calendar is not running"

Does anyone know of a fix for this or should I contact Microsoft?

Thanks in advance.

This is a known Vista bug. Strangely for some people SP1 has fixed the
issue, for some it doesn't work.

Check if the Task Scheduler is running as a service, wincal depends on this.
If you have not yet installed Sp1 then do so and see if it helps.

If all fails, my advice is to use another calendar application, like
Mozilla Sunbird (free). The Calendar in Vista is really not that good, and
worst, it is unreliable - as you see. I would not count on reminders that
don't work..
