Windows Cache problem

I'm using XP Home and am getting the message 'disk cache disabled'. Can
anyone tell me how to re-enable this please?

System: Win XP Home, Intel Pent 4, 2.66Ghz. Maxtor 120Gbyte HD in three
partitions, System (20G) - Backup (20G)- Data (80G)

Try this. Enter devmgmt.msc from the run box.
Expand "disk drives" and right click on the drive.
Check out the "policies" tab.
Anything about cache there?
