Windows bluescreens during install

After I put the windows installation disk into the
computer, I get as far as the "windows startup" splash
screen, and then it bluescreens. The message is:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down
to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error
screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears
again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver
is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or
check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try
changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates.
Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable
components, restart your computer, press f8 to select
Advanced Startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

Technical information:

*** STOP, 0x0000007E (0x80000003, 0x805585F7, 0xF789DD70,
0xF789D9C0)"

My computer is a Shuttle SS51G with built-in graphics. It
has an (up-to-date) Phoenix Award workstationBIOS v. 6.0.
The only BIOS options I could find relating to shadowing or
cache were:
CPU L1 & L2 cache
CPU L2 cache ECC checking
video BIOS shadow
prefetch caching
system BIOS cachable

I disabled all of them- no change. Pressing f8 does
nothing. Please can someone help? Thanks!

That article has nothing to do with what was originally described. There is
no mention of this being an image install from a remote server. Even if it
was, there is a fix listed in the article, all you have to do is call for
it - they are free. But, if linux is what you want, then go for it.
