I'm trying to use the Backup utility that allegedly comes
with XP Pro. When I try and start it I get an error
message that says "The Windows NT operating system is not
supported." This message comes up after a quick "splash"
screen containing the Seagate copyright info for the
backup utility.

Any ideas?

TIA

You must be trying to run the wrong utility. The one that comes with XP was
designed by Veritas (not Seagate).
Type NTBACKUP in Start/Run and hit ENTER.

By golly, that works! I was using
programs|accessories|systems tools|backup. Dell must have
put that there specifically to drive me bonkers!!

Thanks for the help.
