Windows Automatic Update: NVIDIA

I recently downloaded the NVIDIA Display Software through
Windows Automatic Update.

I now have an NVIDIA icon in the notification window, but
when I click on it, it can take up to a minute to display
a pop-up menu.

Is this normal? Should I uninstall it? Everything
seemed to be working OK before.

Thanks

Steve

It's normal for downloading video driver updates from Microsoft instead
of your video card and/or video chipset manufacturer.
Should I uninstall it?
Yes.

Everything
seemed to be working OK before.

MS provides very minimalistic and out-of-date drivers, and they should
never be relied on as a source of driver updates.

You're Welcome, Steve.
