Windows Auto-Logon

Hey,

Messed up a bit here.

Read a thread about how you could auto-login to windows, and did it. When I
was at that window, I must have put in a password (for the user account to
login to). I don't have a password for my user account, so every time XP
starts, it beeps at me and tells me the user information is invalid. I looked
for the thread but I couldn't find it!

Thanks for any help.

Clear the existing auto-logon settings and re-configure auto logon.

Cancel Automatic logon in Windows XP:

Configure Windows XP to Automatically Login:

For Windows XP Home, don't try to auto-login as Administrator. This is because Windows XP Home Edition does not allow logging in as Administrator from Normal mode. Once you uncheck the option "Users must enter a user name" and click OK/Apply, Administrator account name will be displayed in the text box. Type-in a different user name and password in order to auto-login to that account.
