Windows asks for repeat activations

I have activated a copy of Windows XP Por. It reported success but now keeps
asking me to ac tivate it again every few days. Has anyone come across this
error and found how to fix it?

As long as your installation is not pirated and you have a valid product
key, make Microsoft jump through the hoops. If their activation process
screws up, call them; they need to fix it.
