"windows" are disappearing before I can access them

The windows that pop up when you are trying to print or
use any program are disappearing before I have a chance
to access them. If I try to print that window (or box)
disappears before I can make any selections. If I try to
change settings on aol the internet options window
disappears before I can use it, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would rather
not have to completley re-install the operating system.

Sounds to me you may have one of your mouse buttons set to
close a window when clicked..intellmouse uses this..so
check it in you control panel under mouse..
