I open up Windows Anytime in my Vista Home Premium. When it tries to connect
to the internet it gives me a message saying I need to connect...and click
retry. It never connects to the internet.

I am connected to the internet, as I am posting this message from the same
Vista machine. Anyone experience this problem?

Thanks.

It may be looking for a key to unlock the Windows Anytime Update disc.
I did not have this problem. But I bought my upgrade from Microsoft
and it downloaded a key. The 1st 2 keys I downloaded from Microsoft's
Digital Locker did not work - also the email they sent did not work -
I finally downloaded another key and saved it under a different name.
Maybe you have another type of key - the 25- digit key you get on the
back of MS CDs. If so Microsoft Customer service may be able to help
you - if not you may be out of luck!

Not sure we have enough detail.

The process is either,
go to Digital Locker and select install license, or
download license, double-click to start, or
download and start license from the e-mail they sent.

Once the license is on your machine, no connection is required beyond that
which is normal for installation of Vista.

Have you tried with your LAN set in auto. Sometimes MS software needs that on.
