Windows and Apple sharing the same ADSL connection

I have a windows PC and a apple mac. I have an ADSL connection and a wireless
router. Both the machines can pick the wireless signal. When I use the
Windows PC to access the internet, it works, then I go to the Apple Mac and
the internet works but then if I go back to the Windows PC, the internet
stops working. How can I work them simultaneously? Is there some kind of
special way to connect the 2 together in a network and then share perhaps?
How can I do this? Please help

Without more details of your setup, it's hard to say what's wrong.

Make sure that you've set up the wireless network properly. If you
have an ADSL modem and a wireless router, connect the ADSL modem to
the router's WAN (Internet) port. Connecting it to one of the
router's LAN ports could cause the problem that you're seeing.
