Windows activation

I am trying to activate windows xp home on a computer I am
accessing remotely using realvnc 4.0 software.
The computer I am accessing remotely does not have the
option activate windows in
start>programs>accesories>system tools>activate windows
he has the original Windows Xp home edition that came
bundled with his Dell dimension 4550
He has a couple more days to activate it how do I do that?

Start by repairing the registry entries for the activation .DLL files.

Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

After that try launching activation manually using Start - Run and
entering:
%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /A
