Had to replace HDD, now how to activate the Windows XP?

Hi,
I was using a genuine Windows XP Home edition in my computer. Suddenly my
old harddisk is infected with virus. Since it is also old, I decided to have
a new hard disk. I reinstalled my old Windows XP Home edition in the new
harddisk. Now I want to activate that. I anticipate that since it is an
activation for the second time, will it pose any problem? What to do if a
user has to reinstall his already purchased copy of winxp Home in a new
harddisk?

"Will it pose any problem?"
No.

"What to do if a user has to reinstall his already purchased copy of winxp
Home in a new harddisk?"
Activate it, use it normally again.

You simply activate. If you're using the license once, it's not a problem.
It's likely that you can activate online; in the worst case, you have to
make a toll-free phone call that takes about five minutes.

This is a lot easier than people make it out to be.
