Windows Activation

I have the key that came with this computer from Dell on the side of the
case, but I've had to reinstall windows for various reasons a few times, and
now it's suddnely telling me that I've used up all the times I can active
windows with that key.. does anyone know of a way to fix this? Do I need to
just call microsoft and tell them my situation, or does it even matter?

Yes, activation does matter. Call the 800 number to activate.....it's a 5
minute call.
