i cant seem to download my windows 98 visioneer scanner,do i need special
driver,,onto windows xp

Certainly. Win98 device drivers cannot possibly be expected to work on
WinXP. Contact the scanner's manufacturer to obtain WinXP-specific
device drivers for the scanner. If none are available, be prepared to
purchase a new scanner.
