Is it safe to delete the windows 98 uninstall information
from my disk cleanup area if I have upgraded to Windows
XP?

yes, as long as you dont want to go back to Windows 98.

Yes, provided you have no intention of reverting back to Win98.

As long as you are sure you will not want to go back. Best then is to
go to Add/Remove Programs and take the Uninstall Windows - it will offer
the alternative of deleting the files
