windows 98 and 2000

I've got windows 98 and 2000 loaded on my system at work.
My understanding is that the latter is the update of the
earlier and they should not be used in conjunction. Am I
wrong? !!

Win2000 is not an update to Win9x; it is a completely
different operating system (even though it may look similar).
Use Win2000 - it is far more robust and stable than Win9x.

Nothing wrong with a dual boot system, mine works just fine
I find Win ME and W2k to be a great mix.
Wouldn't go back to 98 if you paid me!

They are not related. Both can co-exist on a dual-boot
system but remember that Win2K needs to be formatted in
Fat32 to be compatible with 98 since 98 doesn't do NTFS.
