I have Windows XP installed on my machine. When I go to the Windows website
it says that I am running XP SP2. However when I go to the carbonite website
and I have had this on other sites it is telling me that I am running
Windows95. Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Just don't bother with the 'carbonite website', whatever that is, it's
obviously a complete load of rubbish.

I'd have to conclude that if Carbonite cannot correctly identify your
computer's OS, then you'd do well to avoid trusting them with your data.
