Windows 2003 terminal server display color depth compatibility issue

Hi,
We have to install old softwares (Educationnal soft 1994-1995) on a windows
2003 Terminal server in application mode.

The problem is that most of these softwares dosen't seams to see the current
screen resolution and color depth in a terminal session.

We always get an error that says "This programm must bu run on a screen with
256 colors or more." even if we are connected in 1024x768 24bit
It's like if the application lookup the current resolution of the screen and
the return value are not correct.
One of our application tells us that the mode 1024x768 with 16 colors is
insuffisiant and that we need at least 256 colors.....
If a check in the control pannel(display), i'm in1024x768 24bit...
anyways, 16 colors is an impossible value in terminal.... the minimum is
256 colors....

On the console it is perfect, the software run correctly. For some soft we
had to use the compatibility fonction but it's perfect like this.

We tried to use the ACT 3.0 tools and tried different settings but it still
fail in terminal sessions.

Is there a way to tell the soft the right resolution and color depth in a
terminal session ?

Thanks

Yup !
I tried ACT 3.0 (Aplication Compatibility Tool 3.0) witch I downloaded on
the MS web site and I didn't get any results.

Thanks
