when attempting to boot up 2000 professional with a NEC
FZ11A zip drive installed, system stalls and will not
complete boot up. It does not matter if device is master
or slave, and either configuration works fine on the same
dual boot machine under windows 98. Device is listed as
compatibile in the hardware compatibility web site, with
support on windows 2000 disk

Have you looked for updated drivers for your ZIP drive?
