windows 2000 won't boot with IDE zip drive installed

system hangs during boot-up with NEC FZ 110A zip drive installed, either as master or slave on IDE. same drive works with windows 98 on the same multi-boot machine.

Do you have Roxio EZ CD Creator installed?
