Download the Microsoft Uptime.exe tool and place it in your
%SystemRoot%\System32 folder. Although designed for servers, it also works on
local systems from a command prompt.

I never understood the output of that command. I know I received more than
600kB and made more than 3 writes and 54 reads in the past 2 days! It must
be counting something more specific, but what?

In answer to the OP's question, this line from "net statistics
workstation" appears fairly self-explanatory:

8:29 is when Windows started.

FWIW the timestamp on the page file will give the last boot time also.
