Windows 2000 to ME networking

I am trying to network only two computers. Should seem
simple enough, but for some reason or another I cannot get
them to connect to each other. The main computer is
running Windows 2K and the second computer is running
Windows ME. Both have the same workgroup name and the
same protocols enabled and each has a unique name on the
network. Any suggestions will be much appreicated.

Make sure that the ME-useraccount also exist on the W2k.

I'm having the same problem too, I have an existing
network with 4 computers running ME, but when I upgraded
one of the computer to 2000, the computer with 2000 can
access other 3 computers, but the other 3 computers can't
access the one with Windows 2000, it kept asking for a
password when I try to map a network path. But I didn't
even set a password in the first place. I hope someone
can help me on this one. Thank you.
