Can error message "A duplicate name exist on the network" be supre

Our system uses IP communications but not Netbios/Domain based networking,
but it does reside on networks with windows servers. When more than one is
connected to the network, we receive the message "A duplicate name exist on
the network". This occurs because we image Disk drives, hence all contain
the same name.

Since this error has no effect on our system except the unacceptable pop-up
message, we want to disable the pop-up.

Anyone know how this can be accomplished?

Regards,
Aaron

Hello APSFlorida,

Are they windows computer's that you clone? Then you can use sysprep after
cloning from MS, to prevent duplicate names and more important duplicate
sid's.

Best regards
