Windows 2000 Server Backup

I'm try to schedule a backup using the option Schedule
Jobs in the Backup utility software, but it never start.

I did:

1-Back up selected files, drives, or network data. (I
choose E:\Users, E:\SISTEMAS and E:\MSQL7\DATA

2- Backup media type: 4mm DDS anda Backup media or file
name: New Media

3- Select the type of backup operation to perform: Normal

4- Use hardware compression.... yes

5-Replace the data on the media with this backup

6- I typed the Administrator password.

7- Daily

But doesn't work, the Schedule Task start the Backup
software but de backup software don't do it !!

Somebody can help me ????
 
SQL must be shut down for a backup to work properly if
you are not using specific software that will allow you
to backup a live database. Try running a backup schedule
within SQL and then backup the file it creates not the
SQL live database.
 
Does the backup that you set up appear in the schedule in
the backup wizard?
It may not be scheduled. It looks like you did everything
right.
