Windows 2000 Server as a DHCP client

Is it possible to operate a windows 2000 server computer as a DHCP
client?

I have a W2K server that was set up with a static IP but has moved to
a subnet that was designed to only have dynamic IP addresses. The
computer works with the static IP but when set up to obtain the
address automatically it doesn't obtain an address and either shows an
IP of 0.0.0.0 or a blank entry. I have tried moving the network card
to another PCI slot to generate a different connection but saw the
same result.

When I run ipconfig /renew the message is that there was an internal
error. The NIC is a 3Com 3C905B.
