Windows 2000 Running Very Slow after boot

J

Jim Crockett

When I boot up my PC with Windows 2000 Pro., It runs very
slow. The svchost.exe process allocates all of the system
memory (Near 500MB) and I get a message imforming me that
the system has run our of virtual memory and will need to
create more. Eventually, the memory utilization drops to
about 80Mb and the system performance returns. I have
been seacrhing the Internet for a solution but I have not
found one yet. Any help would be appreciated. I have
disabled all programs from my startup profile.

SVCHOST problems are usually due to the Blaster
virus.
