Windows 2000 Restarting

Matt

Windows 2000 will restart itself sometimes while it is in
the process of Loading. I have just upgraded this comp
from Win 98 to 2000. Is there anything I can do to stop
this random restarting??

The power supply has been tested and is not the problem.
All hardware is also compatible with Win 2000. The
computer usually restarts just prior or just following
login.

That could be a sign of many things. Have you made sure
that all of your hardware is compatible with Windows 2000
(by checking the HAL)? Your memory could be corrupt, or
your power supply may be failing.
There really are a lot of things that could be causing
this to happen. Any more details would be helpful.

Have you installed Win2K drivers for all your hardware devices? Win2K
will not use the Win9x drivers.

Get Windows 2000 Compliant hardware AND remove non-Windows 2000 compliant software
