I was told that when a school gets computers that are
donated, that they can get Windows 2000 free to install as
the OS. Is this true and if so, who do we contact? Please
e-mail information to my address listed below.

Thanks,

Hi Bob,

Microsoft creates software that empowers educators and students to do what
they do best: interact, collaborate, and learn. With the various discounts
available to educational institutions and their faculty, staff, and
students you get the best software at the best prices.

Have a look at http://www.microsoft.com/education/HowToBuy.aspx

There are various programs for Schools, Higher education and college
students, etc. Microsoft announces special discount price for education
programme, not at free of cost.

Thanks,
