Windows 2000 freezing

Running Windows 2000 Prof.
Computer is connected to telephone line.
If phone rings computer freezes.
Re-boot needed.
Any suggestions for a cure?

I guess you're using one of those call-waiting modems. Replace it, or
disable call waiting when you dial-up. (*70, IIRC). Or better yet, get a
broadband connection if at all possible. :]

Is it the computer that is hanging? or just the mouse? Could it be a
comport conflict? Does the keyboard work ie caps lock light once the phone
has rung and the problem is displayed.
