Word Freeze

Hello:


I am using Microsoft Word 2000 on a Windows 2000 platform.
I have observed on a few occasions while typing Word documents that my
system would freeze up on me.
It seems that the only way to solve this problem is to do a hard re-boot.

(1) I was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced such a poblem and
how they solved it ?
(2) What are some of the things I should look at to solve this problem ?

I would remove, then re-install Word. Furthermore, seeing that it is
probably a Word and not a Windows issue, a Word newsgroup might be a better
place to ask the question. The experts there would probably ask you to tell
them when exactly the freeze happens.

We fixed the problem by removing Word, Excel et. al. on the entire network
and installing http://www.openoffice.org/

Yes indeed, just as the OP stated plainly, it hurts to use Word.
