windows 2000 blue screen

We have a win2000 computer with the latest SP. About once
a week, it blue screens without any error messages to the
event log.

Has anyone encountered this.

Yup not as bad as that.

Solution:

Switch LINUX

or: try backing out the SP

Did you install any new software or hardware? If so that could be the issue.
If your on SP4 I would update all the drivers and Firware. Also create an
ERD so you can backup the registry. If your using any veritas products
unistall them. I had a issue with the VSP driver from veritas.

Are you running software raid? If so it can reboot
sometimes under heavy load.

If this has been happening since first installation try
updating the chipset drivers if you have a newer system.
Older generic drivers sometimes cause instability.

Watch your tempature around your machine. Overheating
sometimes causes this type of instability.
